How I publish my Google+ posts to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Posterous and WordPress
I was impressed by +Mike Elgan and learned a lot from his instructions for how he publishes to his various social networks:
Since his article appeared, some new services have cropped up that allow us to spread our Google+ posts even farther!
Here is how I publish my Google+ posts to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Posterous and WordPress.
Set up an account at Friends Plus Me: friendsplus.me
Super easy! This takes care of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Create your own RSS Feed of your Google posts.
Find your Google+ user id when you’re logged into Google+. Click on your Profile tab. Look up in the URL for a long string of numbers. Copy these numbers and paste them to the end of http://gplus-to-rss.appspot.com/rss/
This becomes the URL of your Google+ Public Post RSS Feed.
Here is mine as an example:
Get the Post By Email addresses for your Posterous and WordPress blogs.
Your Posterous address is post(a)yourblog.posterous(.)com where yourblog is the name of your blog or the domain name you point to it.
Your WordPress address can be found at your WordPress dashboard by selecting My Blogs in the left hand column and enabling Post By Email on the right.
Set up an account at If This Then That: ifttt.com.
Use this recipe twice to manage sending posts from your RSS Feed to your Posterous and WordPress blogs. https://ifttt.com/recipes/52063 You can use this recipe for any other blogs you have that allows you to post by email. Go crazy!
Please let me know if you use these instructions.
Let me know how I can make them better.
