ROSCOE — Three Kinnikinnick schools recently received academic excellence awards from the Illinois State Board of Education.
The awards honor Ledgewood, Stone Creek and Roscoe Middle School for having more than 90 percent of their students meet or exceed state standards in math and reading scores in each of the past three years.
The schools also were required to make adequate yearly progress under the No Child Left Behind Act for the past two years in order to qualify for the award.
ISBE awarded 459 schools throughout Illinois for the 2010 school year.
Ahh, they are such smart kids!
